Today I’m sharing a sex magic ritual you can do to specifically honor the Scorpio New Moon, which takes place on November 7th.
Since there’s a lack of light like with a full moon, new moons are the perfect time to allow the darkness to stir up your deepest, darkest desires and shadows especially with the secretive, seductive, deep and lusty energy of Scorpio present.
New moons are about rebirth and Scorpio is all about the mysterious cycles of life, death and rebirth. What can we allow to to die away so that we can resurrect or unearth our true desires? And how can we begin to plant the seeds of our desires in the rich, fertile soil of the new moon’s darkness?
Sex magic is a potent tool for transformation and planting those seeds, allowing your deepest desires to begin manifesting in the real world. And since Scorpio governs your reproductive organs, it’s only one more amazing reason to play with sex magic during this particular new moon.

Here is what you’ll need for your Scorpio New Moon Sex Magic Spell:
These are my recommendations, but always follow your own intuition first and foremost.
- Two pieces of paper and a pen (or a journal)
- A single pillar candle (white or red or whatever color calls to you)
- A holder or tray for your candle
- Matches or a lighter
- Something to carve your candle with
- An oil of choice to dress your candle. Dragons blood feels like a good choice or frankincense or whatever oil you want to use intuitively
- Other items to “dress” your candle like glitter, dried herbs, crushed dried rose petals, chocolate drizzle, honey, etc.
- A fire safe dish to burn paper in or a mini cauldron
- Private, sacred space
- Incense, sage, sweetgrass or palo santo
- Anything you want to bring into your sex magic ritual to set sacred space like incense, candles or tools that you can self pleasure with like a crystal dildo or other sex toy, etc.
How to create your Scorpio New Moon Sex Magic Ritual:
Before you begin I recommend cleansing yourself and your ritual space, including your bedroom or the area where you’ll be self pleasuring or having sex, with some incense or other smudge herbs like sage, mugwort or palo santo.
You can also open a circle calling in the four directions or just setting an intention that you’re now opening your sex magic ritual.
I would also run the incense smoke over all of the tools you’ll be using to cleanse and bless them with your own sexual energy and good intentions.
For this ritual we are going to play with one of your deepest desires. I want you to you fully harness the energy of Scorpio. Go deep.
Choose a single desire that turns you on and feels orgasmic when you think about actually having it right now.
It’s the desires that are often left unsaid or repressed because we think we’re unworthy or not meant for it or we feel selfish, bad or guilty for wanting it. Maybe it’s a certain amount of money or a lover or hot sex or a fancy car or to travel all year. Maybe you want to write a book that reaches millions or create a body of work so epic that you feel like you’re living in bliss every day.
Remember, Scorpio likes it deep so don’t choose a desire that feels like it’s something that you should want it or that is “socially acceptable.” No surface level desires here. What turns your body and soul on?
The first step is to choose this desire and write it down on one of your pieces of paper. Write it down in the present tense as if it’s already happening.
Like I’m making $10k every month or I’m having the hottest sex of my life or my book is on the best-sellers list.
Before we move into the actual sex magic ritual, we’re going to do a quick shadow integration and clearing practice. This will help you create a rich, fertile void where you can now plant the creative seed of your deepest desire.

Take out your other piece of paper and write at the top:
I really don’t want (insert your desire) because…
I’m really afraid that (fill in the blank)…
Set a timer for 10-20 minutes and write down all of your deep, dark fears around why you’re afraid of this thing manifesting.
This is because for every desire you have, there is a part of you that wants it and a part of you that doesn’t want it. The law of duality says that for every desire we have, we will also fear it in equal amounts. What we’re attracted to we will also equally repulse.
Often it’s because of a protective mechanism keeping you safe because that part of you thinks having that desire isn’t safe for some reason or another.
FOR EXAMPLE
I really don’t want hot sex because…
I’m really afraid that I’m unworthy of hot sex
I’m really afraid that I’m not actually orgasmic
I’m really afraid that I’ll sabotage it
I’m really afraid that I’ll become addicted to it
I’m really afraid that I’m too comfortable just having boring, dull sex
I’m really afraid that I’ll get rejected putting myself out there with my lover or partner
etc.
Then, read this list aloud to yourself, rip up the paper, put it in your cauldron, light a match and watch it burn.
As you do, recite these words if you like:
“Dear Universe (deity/divine/god/goddess of choice, etc.), I ask that you clear, cancel, delete and release these fears so that I may transmute them into love, light, truth and full acceptance of who I truly am. I ask that you support me into coming into full energetic alignment with my desire and allow me to take congruent actions that will continue my ever unfolding journey.”
You can offer the ashes to mother earth once they’ve cooled or dispose of them in a way that feels good for you.
Next, you’re going to carve your intention into your candle. This candle is a way of focusing your intention and desire into something. It’s a tool to help direct what you want. See if you can reduce your intention down to 1-3 words like $10K or LOVER or HOT SEX or NEW CAR.
Then, take your candle and begin carving it.
Next, dress your candle. Take an oil of choice and place some on your hands and begin to rub the oil from the bottom up as you infuse your sexual energy and intention into it. Really breathe into your genitals and get turned on by your desire as you do this.
After that, you can adorn and dress your candle further with herbs, glitter, drizzled or shaved chocolate, honey or whatever else. Tune into the unique energy that Scorpio is inviting you into and choose items that work for you. You can just use oil too.
Place your candle on the holder and put it near the area where you’ll be doing your sex magic. Before you do your sex magic, say your intention aloud in present tense, close your eyes and connect with it sensually and emotionally as if you have it now as much as possible and then light the candle.
You can say “And so it is.” if you like or “this or something better.”
